Jim threw hard and ended up making the big leagues with Baltimore where he won (I think) 18 games one year. He was my teammate in Quincy and I read that he perished in a plane crash.

Hard throwing and talented right-hander burst on the scene in '67 with a pitching thin Oriole team. Went 8-3 and in 68, was an 18 game winner. Arm woes curtailed a fine young career, a horrific accident claimed his young life.
