A member of the 'Thumbs Down Posse' along with Lindor and Baez.
That trio reminded me of a group of 'heel' wrestlers. If the 2021 version of Lindor was the equivalent of Bret 'the Hit Man' Hart and Javier Baez was 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, then Pillar was Terry Funk. Meaning he was the guy who only wore an anonymous pair of black underwear in the ring and always lost.
Besides his 'thumbs down' infamy, I vaguely remember being disappointed with his glove. In his only year with the Mets, he had a -0.4 (negative 0.4) in defensive runs saved above replacement.
