Marcus didn't pitch too badly for the Mets in '19, but one thing bothered me whenever he was on the mound. His uniform #7 kept bringing back eerie memories of the night Jose Reyes came in to pitch in that horrible blowout loss in Washington the previous year. The Nationals scored six runs off Jose in the eighth inning to bring their total to 25 for the game. It was the worst defeat in Mets history. Even though he had nothing to do with it, Stroman served as a reminder of that awful experience just by wearing that 7 on his back. I'm glad that he's getting a new uniform number.

Marcus is if you took a lightning bolt and made it into a human being. This man has the most energy I've ever seen. If he was mad about getting traded to Flushing and not the Bronx those feelings have definitely been erased. That being said, he acts like every game he pitches is 2015 ALDS Game 5. I think he can afford to turn it down a little bit. I love his enthusiasm, but I don't want him to hurt himself. Excited to have him in 2020 and beyond!
