Ralph Kiner was an amazing ballplayer, broadcaster, friend, had great baseball smarts, and was a fine human being. I'm 64, and when I was in my early teens up until I entered the U.S. Army, I remember after every home game I would break out my little tape recorder and tape every single episode of Kiner's Korner!! I was indeed, quite the Met fan. Ralph lived a nice full life when at age 90 he left us. One thing most people don't know is that based on X number of at bats, I forget the number, Ralph had -- and probably still has -- the best HR to AB ratio of ANY player ever to play the game!!! We miss you Ralph.
