He determines (incorrectly, as time will prove) that Bud won't be fired but that his contract simply won't be renewed. This article includes a sidebar that speculates on who will follow Harrelson. Among those listed is future interim manager Mike Cubbage and future permanent manager Dallas Green, but no mention of the actual eventual selection, Jeff Torborg.
