HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:

Emily Sweeney
May 3, 2005
My name is Emily Sisler Sweeney and Dick Sisler was my grandfather. He was the nicest man I ever knew. I remember him signing autographs on baseballs, cards, etc. for his fans. I would like to personally thank all of his fans for their support. I miss him every day and I know he loved playing the game.

A Whiz Kid teammate of Richie Ashburn, Dick Sisler's home run off Don Newcombe on the final day of the 1950 season is still referred to Philadelphia's "Shot Heard 'Round the World."
