I had the good fortune to play ball with Jim when he was activated in the army in 1969. He was a team player, always encouraging and led by example. He had a great arm and even though he didn't look like he was running very fast, he had long legs and could cover a lot of outfield territory. He taught me just by watching, how to turn my hips to hit the inside pitches. Jim was the Inter Service Hawaiian Baseball League All Star Center Fielder in 1969.

Played three years with Jimmy and roomed with him those years as well. He looked like a cross between Robert Redford and James Franciscus. Enough said!!!
