HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:

Marc Shepherd
April 20, 2007
My parents used to have a floral shop in upstate NY. Back then Little Falls was the Mets short season class A team in the NY Penn League. Dave Proctor came into the store to order some flowers. My mom and him got to talking and he told her he was a pitcher for the Little Falls Mets. My mom told him that her son (me) was a huge Mets fan, and got his autograph, which I still have. From then I tried to follow his career. Which back then, it must have been 1988 or 1989, was kind of difficult because there was no internet.

The following summer I was visiting my grandparents in St Lucie. Knowing he was pitching for them I went to a few games. I got his autograph on a Bowman baseball card which came out that spring. He remembered my mother who was with me. I followed his career up until he played for the Binghamton Mets. That's the last team I knew he played for. I know he had elbow surgery which I thought ended his career.

I always created him on my Mets team on Baseball Stars for Nintendo.
