Before Mike Baxter Trot Nixon was the last Met to have an X on his jersey, and I still remember nothing about his time as a Met.

He was a name with the 2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox, but spent only a week with the Mets before disappearing forever. I thought he might have been more productive after hitting a double in his first game with the Mets, but did nothing after that. He did play in the game at Shea against the Seattle Mariners where RA Dickey of Seattle shut out the Mets for seven innings.
