This guy just Sucked!! Him and Borland for Rico Brogna? What the hell was that all about?
I think he pitced in the independent league for the Somerset Patriots. I bet he sucked there also.

Ricardo Jordan, not Rigo Beltran, was the other reliever in the Brogna deal.
Beltran was decent enough, and I thought he would have had more of a major league career. How do guys like Tom Martin keep getting chances, and Beltran doesn't? I guess Martin throws harder or something.

He's still the best Beltran in Mets' history until opening day.
He was really a useless player who was traded for Juan Acevedo, who was also useless but threw real hard.

He pitched great for us. Did a nice job of being that second lefty out of the bullpen. He always seemed to be coming into the game to face the middle of the order.

Solid pitcher. Better than I remember. Averaged more than a strikeout per inning and had a solid ERA. Gave up his share of home runs, though. One of the seemingly few players that tanked, rather than got better, after leaving the Mets -- his ERAs after departing New York were 7.36, 40.50 and 13.50, respectively. Yikes.
Was also part of the deal that brought the Mets the late Darryl Hamilton, who was vital for the club in its late season playoff push.
