HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:
I will forever remember Damon Buford for a play that he made when he was in Triple A. In 1993 I saw him hit an inside the park home run while he was playing for the Rochester Red Wings. It was the first (and only for that matter) inside the park home run I have ever seen. He was also a great guy signing autographs before and after every game, win or lose.
I'll always love Damon Buford because he was the other piece of the trade along with Alex Ochoa in the trade for Bobby Bonilla. Anytime you can ship Bobby Boo out of town is a time to celebrate.
February 22, 2006 Never saw a faster runner in a Met uniform. Disappointed that he couldn't make it here.
